BYD LV Battery Management Unit

The LVS Battery Management Unit (BMU) from BYD is essential for all low voltage BYD Battery-Box Premium systems and functions as a communication unit between the LVS battery and the inverter. The BMU comes standard with a WLAN interface and is compatible with both single-phase and three-phase inverters.

When the connection between the battery system and the inverter is in order, the battery information can be read correctly and the BMU LED will turn white. If the BMU LED keeps flashing blue, there may be some battery faults on the inverter. To completely shut down the battery system, the LED button on the BMU must be pressed for 5 seconds.
